I know it's been a while since I've updated my blog but things have been super busy in the Hubert house. I'm currently in Texas visiting my family. Originally I was going to fly back to Clarksville this past Monday. However, as it turns out, my dad is headed home from Saudi Arabia tomorrow so I decided to change our plane tickets so we could see him. It's been a nice visit so far, but I have to say, there are quite a few things going on in our family right now that aren't so much fun.
My sister, Haley, is relapsing with her disease (Wegener's) and is currently undergoing weekly infusions of potent drugs to help make her better. Her first one is today and my mom and brother-in-law are with her at the hospital as I type. So far everything is going ok. This is her first relapse in three years and thus, her first relapse with two babies to take care of. Please keep her in your prayers.
My mom travels back to Lake Jackson tomorrow to pick my dad up at the airport and then head to the hospital to visit my sister Fallon who is having surgery for an ovarian cyst that the doctors are worried will rupture if not removed soon. Please pray for her too.
Tanner's (my niece) 3rd birthday party is on Saturday and I am helping Juli get ready for that. It's not going as smoothly as she would have liked because she is newly pregnant and is now suffering from morning/all day sickness. Poor girl. A new addition to our family is exciting news but I feel bad for her right now because she feels horrible. Please pray for her too.
On a different note, Claire is officially potty trained!! Not to say we don't have accidents because we have more than I would like, but, we are no longer wearing diapers at all!!!! Yippy!! I have been very proud of her because we just started potty training last week. I was worried that she would regress with all of the traveling but she has done really well. She went to the bathroom twice on the airplane and wore panties the entire day of travel with no accidents. She also went to school in panties before we left for Texas and didn't have any accidents! She still wears a pull-ups during her naps and at night but I'm really excited with her progress so far.
So.......that's what's going on in our family in a nutshell. Daniel wasn't able to come to Texas with us because of school responsibilities and we miss him bunches. But, we are enjoying our visit with family too. We will look forward to seeing him on Monday when he picks us up at the airport.
