Claire's First Minor Injury

Last Wednesday Claire had her first spill.  Daniel and I have been trying to get the house baby proofed and in the process decided to make the house a little more usable.  So, we decided to turn the dining room into an office in order to make more room upstairs for Claire's play area.  We were moving the dining room table into the kitchen and in the process Claire decided to climb the stairs for the first time.  It took us two minutes to make the move and when we finished we looked into the hallway and Claire wasn't there.  I had taken some crystal candle sticks off the table and put them on the stairs while we moved the table and Claire went for them.  She managed to climb three stairs, grab the candle stick, and as soon as we turned to look for her she fell backwards and bumped the back of her head on the hardwood floor.  However, the worst of her injury came when she knocked herself in the forehead with the candlestick that she held on to.  Poor baby!  So, the next morning we headed to Babies R Us to buy baby gates...................a little late on our part.

It's hard to see but she had a good little knot on her forehead.
