We're still alive!

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've blogged but things in the Hubert house have been busy. The weekend before last we took on the lofty goal of painting the entire downstairs to include the living room, kitchen and dining room. Luckily Daniel was able to get some of the painting done during the day on Friday but we still spent most of Saturday painting. So, I was too busy to take any pictures. Claire is doing so much these days that it's hard to keep up with everything. I need to write everything down before I forget. It seems like she has a new word every day. Some of her words include: Mommy, Daddy, duck, puppy, bird, belly (bebe), fishy, and banana (nana). She has also started making animal noises like "moooo" for cow, and "quack" for duck. She points to her eyes, nose, ear, mouth, belly button, toes, and hands. It's so much fun to watch her learn. Her absolute favorite thing is music and dance. As soon as we go in her room she points to the CD player and wants us to turn it on. As soon as the music comes on she dances all around. This age is so much fun!!

We left last Friday morning for a trip to San Antonio to visit my family. We spent four days there and flew back Tuesday. I've posted some pictures from our trip below. All of the cousins are getting so big and it was really neat to watch Claire play with everyone. I think they were all tired of eachother by the end of the trip but they had a really good time. Claire and Tanner especially had fun playing with eachother............and fought over every single toy as well. Tanner even started calling Claire by her nickname Claire Bear..........only it comes out like Tear Bear.......so cute. On the way back to the airport on Tuesday Claire was doing this high pitched scream that she started recently. Tanner looked at her from her car seat and said "Tear Bear! Stop streaming! Sooooo funny! Anyway, the kids had a lot of fun and we had fun watching them.

On a different but much more exciting note, my sister Haley and brother-in-law Jason have some very exciting news to share. Click on "The Mitschke's" link to the right or click here: http://www.themitschkes.com/ to see their news.

Check out the mess!

Haley and Jason watched Claire for us on Saturday so Daniel and I could have a date with IKEA!! For those of you who have never been to IKEA, the place is amazing and absolutely huge!! We could have spent all day there.

Ironically, Haley and I unknowingly bought the same outfits for the girls. Must be some strange sisterly ESP.

My Aunt Linda bought a TON of clothes from a local resale shop for all of the babies. Claire particularly loved these bunny slippers. What you can't see is that see also loved the Elmo socks that she has on under the slippers.

Claire and Tanner

Gigi and Papa with the grandbabies.

Tanner had fun pouring water on Claire's head..........good think Claire loves the water.

Gigi bought the kids this fun water mat.

Watching Sesame Street with Papa.
