This past weekend we made a trip to Louisville to visit with Daniel's family. On Saturday, we took the Claire and Raydon, Daniel's cousin Chris's little boy, down to the river front to the 6th Annual KenDUCKy Derby. It's a fundraiser for the Harbor House of Louisville. They sell rubber ducks for $5 each and each of them have a number. The thousands and thousands of ducks are released into the river to race to the finish line and the first five ducks to cross win prizes that range from saving bonds to a new car!! There were all kinds of activities for the kiddos to include a bounce house and painting. Claire LOVED the bounce house to the point that I thought I was going to have to climb in to get her out. There was also a band and Claire and Rayden both had fun dancing to the music and we had fun watching them. Saturday evening we went out to dinner with Daniel's family and then went back to Chris's house to watch football. It was a nice weekend.

Claire and Rayden ready to go.

Paul and Chris watching Rayden in the bounce house.

She LOVED it!

She also thought this big duck was pretty neat.

Claire's first masterpiece.

I can't believe we lucked out without getting any paint on her clothes!
Claire kept following this duck around.........
But this is as close as she would get.
The trumpeter played right before they dumped all of the rubber ducks into the river.
That's a lot of ducks.
Dinner at Buca di Beppo with the family.
