We had great weekend, minus wishing Daniel was home with us. Friday night I got a babysitter and went to my friends Shannon and Chris's going away party. Shannon delivered Claire and she is moving to Washington where she will do a fellowship in high risk pregnancy. We will miss them so much but will hopefully be able to visit at some point.
Saturday my friend Lindsey came in to spend the afternoon with us. It's always good to spend time with Miss Lindsey and I can always count on her to spend time with me when Daniel is gone. Saturday night Regan, Lisa, Michelle, Lindsey and I ordered take-out sushi and hung out at my house for a nice relaxing evening. It was just like old times when all the guys were deployed.
Sunday was a beautiful day and we spent most of it outside. Wendy, next door, bought a blow up beach ball that squirts water and Morgan and Claire thought it was the best thing ever!! They were completely soaked! After that we decided to get their swimsuits on and head to the pool. Wendy and Truk have some friends with a pool and they were gracious enough to invite us to go along. Claire had so much fun! After spending about two hours at the pool it was time for a nap. Claire was asleep in the car before we even got out of the neighborhood. When she woke up, we got dressed and went to dinner at my friends Lisa and Erik's house. They live down the street from us and invited us, along with others, over for dinner. Lisa made some great ethnic Italian dishes and I went home uncomfortably full. Overall, it was a great weekend. The only thing missing was Daniel :(
Speaking of which, Daniel spent the weekend with one of our closest friends, Blake. Blake lives about an hour and a half away from Ft. Benning. Daniel said they had a good time catching up and it was great to see Blake and his new house. This morning was day one of Airborne School. Daniel called me after his PT test that started at 4:00 a.m. and said that he passed with flying colors and was ready for the actually training to begin. I'll keep you posted on his progress.
