Trip to Georgia

Last weekend we made a trip to Atlanta to visit with Daniel's mom and step dad Bob. It was the longest time that Claire has been in her car seat so we were a little anxious about the trip. We bought a portable dvd player ahead of time in efforts to keep her occupied. However, that last about 30 minutes and then she was over it and ready to get out of her car seat. She fussed and yelled at us until we eventually stopped in Chattanooga and let her play at a McDonalds for a little bit. Luckily when we got back in the car it was her bedtime so she slept the rest of the way to Atlanta. It was good to visit with Nana and Grandpa Bob. On Sunday, Nana watched Claire while Daniel and I went to IKEA to do some shopping. We contemplated taking Claire with us so we could just get right on the road back to Clarksville but I'm really glad that we left her with Nana. We ended up walking out of IKEA with four carts and two bags of stuff!!! There is no way we would have been able to handle a one year old at the same time. Thanks Nana!!! Daniel has now limited me to one trip to IKEA every five years...........I LOVE that store! Here are a few pictures from the trip.
