And this time it's not because he's wearing zebra stiped pants and a bandana. This time he's a rock star in a much more refined and sophisticated way.......hehehehe!
Anyway, all jokes aside, the national OML (Order of Merrit List) came out on Monday. This is a ranked ordered list of every ROTC cadet in the country and it is what they use to determine if a cadet gets his first choice of branch and post assignment. Daniel was #179 out of 5,342 cadets nation wide. That puts him in the top 3% of all cadets in the country and establishes him as a Distinguished Military Graduate. I am very very proud of Daniel and his hard work.
We will find out for sure what branch he gets at the end of October. However, based on the numbers, I would say that it looks really good for Daniel to get his first choice of Aviation. If that happens, we will head to Ft. Rucker, Alabama sometime next Spring for Daniel to start flight school. I will let you know for sure when we find out in October!
