Weekend Activities

This weekend was busy but relaxing at the same time.  Friday night we met some friends in Hopkinsville for the annual Support the Troops Chili Cook-off.  There were probably 40 different chili booths set up and everything was free for military families.  The weather was great and there was live music and free activities for the kiddos too.  It was a nice evening.

We got up early on Saturday, picked up my friend Kassie, and headed to Hopkinsville again to run a 5k called the Trot for the Troops.  The weather couldn't have been better and it was a nice start to the day.

We had to wake Claire up at 6:00 to make it to the race in time.  She was a little groggy.

After the race, we went home and got ready to head to Louisville to celebrate Daniel's dads' 64th birthday.  We met the rest of the Daniel's family for dinner at an Italian restaurant called Bravo and then headed over to his grandmother's house for cake and ice cream.

A present from Aunt Carol. :)

We also celebrated Missy's birthday.  Happy 33rd Missy!

We got back into town around noon on Sunday.  I got Claire down for a nap and then headed out to take pictures of my neighbor's little girls.  I will add those pictures to my photography website when I'm finished editing.  All in all it was a great weekend.
